This policy describes how Night Reef LLC handles information across its websites, apps, games, and digital products. Chamelingo is our first app, so some examples below name Chamelingo directly; future Night Reef products may collect different data depending on what they do.
Information we may collect
Depending on the product, we may collect information you provide, such as name, email address, account details, support messages, product feedback, game or app content you create, and purchase-related records. Products may also collect app usage, gameplay, device, crash, diagnostics, analytics, notification, subscription, or progress information when needed to operate, secure, improve, or support the product. For Chamelingo specifically, this can include learning progress, quiz answers, vocabulary statistics, streaks, custom decks, friend and arena activity, and optional voice-tutoring audio processed in real time.
How we use information
We use information to operate Night Reef products, personalize product experiences, save progress or game state, process subscriptions and purchases, provide support, send transactional emails and notifications, monitor security and reliability, fix errors, analyze product performance, and respond to data export or deletion requests.
Service providers and third parties
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers needed to run a product, such as hosting and database providers, analytics, crash reporting, email delivery, customer support, app-store billing, web payments, media delivery, and voice or AI providers where a product uses those features. Chamelingo currently uses providers such as PostHog, Sentry, Resend, RevenueCat, Stripe where web billing is used, Apple App Store, Google Play, LiveKit or Whisper-based voice processing, ElevenLabs, and Cloudinary.
Retention and deletion
We keep account or product data while needed to provide the product, resolve disputes, comply with legal obligations, and maintain security. After verified account deletion, we delete or de-identify personal data within 30 days except where retention is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, completed transaction records, or normal backup expiration. Anonymized analytics that cannot identify you may be retained.
Children
Night Reef products, including Chamelingo, are not directed to children under 13 unless a specific product clearly says otherwise and includes the required safeguards. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Changes
We may update this policy as Night Reef ships new apps, games, tools, and experiments. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
